The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Spectacle Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Spectacle Pond.       This lake is so wonderful. McCauley Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is bountiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. Oswegatchie River - East Branch has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Spectacle Pond has to offer, you can camp at Robinson's Iga. Take a side trip to Sixmile Creek; a pretty lake like Ash Pond is a fine site to stop at. This lake is so                  wonderful. Newton Falls Hotel is a perfect location to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Sixmile Creek Trail is always a perfect adventure. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Spectacle Pond has it all. A wonderful nearby hotel is Stone Manor; the sight of Indian Mountain is beautiful. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Arnolds Point is in the neighborhood and always great to explore, and there are good spots to explore along the Ash Pond Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Spectacle Pond is close to the national average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
