Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Spectacle Lake. Go for a hike on the Party Trail, and Spectacle Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Adirondack Gateway Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Really nice skiing awaits you at McCauley Mountain, and Americas       Best Inns-Herkimer is a pleasant place to get some rest. Spectacle Lake mostly gets a good deal of rain; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Some of the water nearby flows, like Fourmile Brook, and there are other locations here than Spectacle Lake, for example Atwood Lake. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. There are perfect locations to discover along                  the California Trail, and if you need a place to stay Knights Inn Little Falls is a pleasant choice. Having a pleasant time in the Adirondack Mountains is easy. At Spectacle Lake you can observe McCauley Mountain, and if you come at the right time of year, West Canada Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. High temperatures at Spectacle Lake all through the summertime months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Spectacle Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Why not pop by a swamp like Pooler Vly while you're here at Spectacle Lake, and a delightful location to camp here at Spectacle Lake is Ace Of Diamonds Mine. This lake is so wonderful.
