This lake is so wonderful. A glorious location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Sparkle Lake is Wappinger Creek. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn MT. KISCO (WESTCHESTER COUNTY) is a good spot to spend a night or two, and Sparkle Lake is not the only place nearby, Crom Pond is a nearby lake. For the period of the summer months highs       here at Sparkle Lake reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Sparkle Lake. This place, Sparkle Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors exciting stuff. You can run the rapids of Popolopen Creek next to Sparkle Lake; a lake nearby is Oceola Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Sparkle Lake that                  you need to camp here for a while, Camp Discovery is a magnificent place for that, and while you're here you can play some golf at Sanctuary Country Club. Here at Sparkle Lake there are plenty of folks from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Sparkle Lake; Stillwell Lake Trail is a perfect local trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Sparkle Lake a wet spot; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is January. Sparkle Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Kiwi is a glorious local campground, and there's great hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.   Holiday Inn MT.
