A visit to South Pond is always a good idea. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at South Pond. Golf can be played at Middle Bay Country Club, and if you want to hit the beach, Long Beach is close by. Lido Beach is in close proximity to South Pond if you're in a beach type of mood, and why not take a little visit to Mill River while you're here.

| | than a day at, Camp Mesorah is a nice local campground; a trip to Gateway National Recreation Area is worthwhile. During the summertime months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at South Pond, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at South Pond throughout the wintertime regularly plunge into the 20's. for a while, Brookwood Camps is a great place for that, and a magnificent close by hotel is Rockville Centre Inn.
The friendly folks of New York-Newark-Edison like to hang out nearby; if you need a site to stay Best Western Mill
River Manor is a delightful choice. All the water falling down from the sky makes South Pond a wet site; during November this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month.
