The beauty of South Pond attracts many people from all around. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things close to South Pond. There are plenty of people from Ogdensburg-Massena here at South Pond; at South Pond you can observe Twitchell Mountain. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. South Pond ordinarily gets a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. South Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Cape Woods Campground is a great local campground. High temperatures at South Pond through the warm months are in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and during the dark | |

hours in the winter at South Pond temperatures descend to the 0's.
Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Oswegatchie River - East Branch,
and going for a hike on the Norridge Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Thendara Golf Club is a fine golf course nearby, and a perfect location to camp here at South Pond is Singing waters Campground. Go
for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail; Best Western Sunset Inn is a great spot to get some rest.
That right there is loads of fun things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Don't leave South Pond without
first going for a hike along the Big Deer Pond Trail; soar down the rapids of Moose River - South Branch in a kayak. Don't forget to go to North Bay while you're here at South Pond, and everyone nearby loves skiing at McCauley Mountain.
