After a long day outdoors Jiminy Peak is a great spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at South Long Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Aqua Vista Valley Campgrounds is a tremendous site for that. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at South Long Pond. There are tremendous spots to explore along the Southeast Hollow Trail, and tremendous hiking is available along the Williams Trail.       Head up to Jiminy Peak and strap some skis to your feet; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Poesten Kill River. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to South Long Pond. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at South Long Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Don't leave South Long Pond without first going for                  a hike along the Taconic Crest Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything South Long Pond has to offer, you can camp at Broken Wheel Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Mount Greylock Ski Club is just what you need, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Jericho Valley Inn.
