For you golfers we recommend close by Newport Golf Club Of, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Black River. Going for a hike along the California Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and West Canada Creek Campsites is a splendid campground here.       This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Ash Creek, and get soaked paddling on West Canada Creek. Swamps are exciting sites and Tygert Swamp close to Snyders Pond is no exception, and hiking along the Forty Mountain Trail is nice fun. After a long day outdoors Crest Motel is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and camping at Snyders Pond is fine fun, Adirondack Gateway Campground is a fine local campground.                  For the period of the summer here at Snyders Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 70's.
