A day on the slopes of Snow Ridge is just what you need, and do schedule some time to stop by Bentons Point if you have a chance. This lake is so wonderful. Oswegatchie River - West Branch has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby; why not a little side journey to Clark Creek. Snake Pond is a good place of normal rain; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is       commonly the driest month. Snake Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Natural Bridge/Watertown KOA is a great local campground; Lake Bonaparte is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Summer at Snake Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's.
