There is a good hiking trail close to Snake Pond called the Rock Pond Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Schroon River. A normal amount of rain falls here at Snake Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is usually the driest month. Summertime at Snake Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period       of the winter highs are in the 20's while Snake Pond nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Snake Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Burnt Mill Brook is a perfect site to go to, and there are some good whitewater spots on Putnam Creek. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Adirondack Mountains. On a splendid day at Snake Pond you can take a hike along the Long Swing Trail, and if you get bored of Snake Pond you could also stop at nearby Kumph Pond. This lake is so wonderful. One of the major traits of the surroundings of Snake Pond is Bald Pate.
