And that's not all you can do here at Smith Pond. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. A tour to nearby Eagle Point is very relaxing, and a gorgeous lake like Densmore Pond is a delightful location to stop at. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. A swamp like Jenks Swamp next to Smith Pond has lots of attention-grabbing       things to see, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Pharoah Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Wakonda Family Campground is a good campground nearby, and Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a splendid location to get some rest. You can run the rapids of Trout Brook River in the vicinity of Smith Pond, and Smith Pond is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Ideal Campsites is a perfect location to camp nearby. During                  the warm months at Smith Pond highs are regularly in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Smith Pond night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. From Smith Pond you get a perfect view of Baldwin Mountain, and after a long day outdoors The Sagamore is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. Really good skiing awaits you at Gore Mountain, and why not take a little tour to Trout Brook if you're here. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area right next door to Smith Pond has to offer. The Long Swing Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Smith Pond, and a nice place for whitewater paddling is Schroon River. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Smith Pond; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is regularly the driest month.
