Kinderhook Creek
 | There is a lot to run on the Kinderhook above Valatie. In fact, it can be run all the way from above E. Nassau. At E. Nassau, a nice boulder garden class II-III proceeds, with water attractions all the way to Valatie. Getting out at Valatie is difficult but necessary before the dam....There are two impassable waterfalls 60 plus feet high about two miles south of the Valatie water fall. There is no viable way around these falls without climbing down steep cliffs. We stopped about a half mile above the two stuyvesant falls. My understanding is there are old mill dams before you get to stockport. Somebody gave you really bad dangerous info.... |
