An afternoon playing golf at Meadowbrook Golf Course is always a bliss; you can run the rapids of Owasco River. Slayton Pond gets a typical amount of rain; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. Duck Lake Campground is a magnificent local campground, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Oswego River. Summertime highs at Slayton Pond usually       tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Slayton Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
