The amount of rain that falls at Slayton Pond is close to the national average; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Summer at Slayton Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Slayton Pond. This lake is so       wonderful. There's a forest here at Slayton Pond called Spook Woods, and Weedsport Days Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest. While you're here at Slayton Pond you will meet lots of folks from nearby Auburn, and a fine nearby hotel is Best Western Weedsport Inn. Be careful coming to Slayton Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. If you come at the right time of year, Owasco River offers some wonderful whitewater, and there are some great whitewater                  spots on Oswego River. A pleasant place to camp here at Slayton Pond is Duck Lake Campground, and why not a little side visit to Owasco Outlet.
