While you're here at Silver Mine Lake you can play some golf at Central Valley Golf Club, and if you came for an overnight stay Beaver Pond is a delightful site to camp. Beechy Bottom Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Moodna Creek. Just can't get enough of Silver Mine Lake. The
skiing at Sterling Forest is wonderful; on a splendid day it's a glorious idea to spend the day at New Sebago Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Mt. Peter is a good local ski area, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Highland
Falls.
But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Silver Mine Lake. There are swamps here too; Owl Swamp is in close proximity; Sebago Cabins Harriman is a magnificent local campground. At Silver Mine Lake throughout
the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Silver Mine Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so
wonderful. Don't leave Silver Mine Lake without first going for a hike along the Breakneck Ridge Trail, and lakes are such calm places, why not check out Lake Massawippa.
