Colvin Pond is a magnificent lake right next door to Silver Leaf Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Oswegatchie River - East Branch. Going for a hike on the Big Deer Pond Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Grass Pond Mountain is a peak you can see from Silver Leaf Pond. This place, Silver Leaf Pond, it just has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Camping       is available at Browns Tract Pond State Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of McCauley Mountain is just what you need, and the Ash Pond Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. Silver Leaf Pond gets much water; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Silver Leaf Pond all through the summertime months are in the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in                  the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Silver Leaf Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. Silver Leaf Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. So much exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time.
