The Lodge at Rock Hill is a wonderful location to get some rest, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Peenpack Trail. While you're here at Silver Lake you can take a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail, and a brilliant spot for whitewater paddling is Beer Kill River - West Branch. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Silver Lake reach       the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; night lows at Silver Lake through the wintertime typically dip into the 10's. After a long day outdoors VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES is a good place to spend a night or two, and not far from Silver Lake you'll discover Katz Pond which is a scenic lake. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Silver Lake. You can run                  the rapids of Sandburg Creek in close proximity to Silver Lake, and if you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Lochmor Golf Course. Stay the night at Lazy G Campgrounds, and there are other places here than Silver Lake, for example East Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hilltop Farm Campsites is a magnificent site for that. Holiday Mountain is a magnificent local ski area, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Seager West Branch Trail.
