This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Bishops Pond close to Silver Lake is a delightful location to explore; you can go for a hike on the Peenpack Trail. So many exciting things to do at Silver Lake, so little time. You'll find a pretty lake called Amber Lake near Silver Lake; you can run the rapids of Delaware River. Going for a hike on the Schiff Trail       is always a fine adventure; a nice place for whitewater paddling is Callicoon Creek - North Branch. The high level of rain makes Silver Lake a rather wet location; all through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There are delightful sites to look at along the Lost Cabin Trail. The skiing at Holiday Mountain is pleasant, and Swan Lake Golf & Country Club is a tremendous golf course                  close by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Silver Lake. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Silver Lake are in the 10's.
