A day on the slopes of Windham Mountain is just what you need; dry warm beds await you at Cuomo's Cove. All through the summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Silver Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Silver Lake are in the 0's. Having a glorious time in the Catskill Mountains is uncomplicated. Jennie Notch is in close proximity       to Silver Lake and is a wonderful spot, and Point Lookout is close at hand and always magnificent to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. From Silver Lake you obtain a great vista of Kate Hill, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Catskill Creek. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Ten Mile Creek, and a great place to camp here at Silver Lake is White Birches. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a                  hike on the Spruceton Trail, and camping is available at Doherty's Mountain Campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff close to Silver Lake. Don't leave Silver Lake without first going for a hike along the Willow Trail; for you golfers we recommend close by Windham Country Club. This lake is one of the great places here in the Catskill Mountains. There's tremendous hiking along the Phoenicia Trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Catskill Mountains has to offer. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Hunter Mountain is close to Silver Lake, and after a long day outdoors Rose Motel is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. A normal amount of rain falls here at Silver Lake; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February.   Hotel Vienna, Windham 4 miles away Windham is set high in the Catskill Mountains.
