Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Silver Lake while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Silver Lake plunge into the       0's. The yearly rainfall here at Silver Lake is about average; most of the rain falls through May while February is frequently the driest month. This place, Silver Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Phoenicia Trail. Yeah, come here to Silver Lake for a splendid time. There's glorious hiking along the Spruceton Trail, and Catskill Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. So many entertaining things in the Catskill Mountains, just mind-blowing. Skiing at Windham Mountain is one of those things you just should do, and Lake Heloise is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Hunter Mountain, and you might also want to pay a visit to Jennie Notch while you're here at Silver Lake. You are close to Point Lookout while you're here at Silver Lake; the Willow Trail offers hiking at its best. After a long day outdoors Winwood Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and camping at Doherty's Mountain Campground is always a splendid experience. This lake is one of the great places here in the Catskill Mountains.
