This lake is located in the wonderful Catskill Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of stunning Calhoun Hill near Silver Lake is perfect. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Silver Lake has to offer, you can camp at Christy's Beaver Spring Lake Campsites. Silver Lake gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of       the months is February. So much cool stuff to do here in the Catskill Mountains, too wonderful to be true. Very lovely scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Belleayre; a splendid spot for whitewater paddling is Platte Kill River. Tunis Lake is a wonderful lake in close proximity to Silver Lake; you can stay the night at Camp L'Man Achai. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Silver Lake. Gotta ski! Ski Plattekill is a great                  spot to do that, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Tremper Kill River. All year is a splendid time in the Catskill Mountains if you love the outdoors. Super 8 Motel - Oneonta/Cooperstown Area is a glorious location to get some rest, and a lovely lake like Lake Delaware is a great location to visit. Throughout the summertime months at Silver Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Silver Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
