A visit to Silver Lake is always a good idea. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. A pleasant place to camp here at Silver Lake is North Pole Campground; you'll discover a picturesque lake called Taylor Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are fine sites to explore along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail, and Silver Lake is a place with many visitors from Plattsburgh. The best way to spend a winter day is on the

| | slopes of nearby Whiteface Mountain, and you can go for a hike on the Schwartz Trail. Lake Placid Club Lodge is a splendid place to get some rest. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in close proximity to Silver Lake. Camping at Douglas Corp Of Silver Lake is always a wonderful experience, and a delightful spot for whitewater paddling is Saranac River. This lake is so wonderful. by flows, like Casey Brook, and if you need a place to stay Mirror Lake Inn is a glorious choice. All the water falling down from the sky makes Silver Lake a wet spot; through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month
of the year is February. The snow is tremendous at Mount Pisgah, and pleasant hiking is available along the McKenzie Pond Trail. Silver Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. High temperatures at Silver Lake throughout the
long summer days are in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Silver Lake temperatures drop to the 0's.
