Silver Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; February is when it's the driest. This is a glorious neighborhood for people who like lakes. Cranberry Pond is a lake in the neighborhood; camping is available at Douglas Corp Of Silver Lake. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes are fine; Union Falls Pond is a lake that's close to Silver Lake; there       are some great whitewater spots on Saranac River. Why not camp at North Pole Campground since you're here at Silver Lake; you can go for a hike on the Schwartz Trail. Through the long summer days, highs generally are in the 70's at Silver Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Silver Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Silver Lake. Casey                  Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to; a wonderful view of charming Cranberry Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Placid Club Lodge is a wonderful site to get some rest; magnificent hiking is available along the McKenzie Pond Trail. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You simply ought to have a thing about the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Saranac River; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Whiteface Mountain is pretty near. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Silver Lake has it all. Going for a hike on the Silver Lake Mountain Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and if you need a location to stay Mirror Lake Inn is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful.
