    Siamese Ponds is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of County Line Mountain can be seen from Siamese Ponds. Gore Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff, and if you came to camp Rainbows End is a wonderful site to do that. Siamese Ponds is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Siamese Ponds that you need to camp
 
   here for a while, Cedar Pond Campground is a good site for that; you can go for a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Georgia Brook offers some good whitewater. Lakes are great; North Pond is a lake that's near Siamese Ponds. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are in fact abundant here at Siamese Ponds. Going for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is always a delightful adventure, and there are some wonderful whitewater  
               spots on Sacandaga River - East Branch.
Summertime at Siamese Ponds comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Siamese Ponds temperatures plunge to the 0's. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is abundant here in the Adirondack Mountains. The good folks of Gloversville like to hang out nearby; a pleasant spree to Curtis Clearing is a great way to spend an afternoon. Siamese Ponds is a good place of normal rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by South Pond; nearby you discover the Oregon Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail.

Northville Lake Placid Trail

Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-...
