A swamp like Cotter Swamp right next door to Shiras Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see, and skiing at Gore Mountain is one of those things       you just must do. Do have a look at Cod Pond close to Shiras Pond, it's a stunning lake, and Shiras Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Rainbows End is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Shiras Pond called the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and glide down the rapids of Georgia Brook in a kayak. Any time is a delightful time at Shiras Pond if you fancy the outdoors.                  Here at Shiras Pond there are plenty of folks from Gloversville, and you'll hit upon a charming lake called New Lake. So many entertaining things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too tremendous to be true. The Oregon Trail is a good hiking trail near Shiras Pond; camping at Northhampton Beach Recreation is always a tremendous experience. Shiras Pond gets a typical amount of rainfall; through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Shiras Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. All year is a good time in the Adirondack Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Here at Shiras Pond you can make out Georgia Mountain; get yourself into a kayak and hit Sacandaga River - East Branch.
