At Shiras Pond through the summer months highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Shiras Pond are in the 0's. The peak of Georgia Mountain can be made out from Shiras Pond; Northhampton Beach Recreation is a nice campground nearby. So much amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient       time. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Georgia Brook, and if you're here, you could also stop at pretty New Lake. This lake is so wonderful. From a rain point of view Shiras Pond is a relatively normal spot; all through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. This location, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Gore Mountain; there is a fine                  hiking trail nearby called the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. Shiras Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Paddling on Sacandaga River - East Branch is so much fun, and Cod Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Rainbows End is a brilliant site to camp; swamps can be such attention-grabbing spots, go to Cotter Swamp if you're here at Shiras Pond. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the vicinity of Shiras Pond will keep you coming back time and again.
