Going for a hike on the Post Henderson Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and a pretty lake like Mud Pond is a great location to stop at. Shingle Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rain; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month       is January. Harper Falls is an inspiring site to explore while here; Best Western University Inn is a glorious spot to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Shingle Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Shingle Pond descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful.                  Stay the night at Robinson's Iga; there's whitewater on Grass River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Bullhead Pond is a magnificent lake in close proximity to Shingle Pond; there are some good whitewater spots on Grass River - North Branch. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Shingle Pond.
