If you come at the right time of year, Grass River - North Branch offers some glorious whitewater,       and Shingle Pond is a brilliant spot to visit for more than one day, Robinson's Iga is a brilliant spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Buck Brook; most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Bullhead Pond is just a very short distance away. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Grass River, and Best Western University Inn is a good site to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs                  in the 70's to Shingle Pond. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Shingle Pond dip into the 0's.
