That right there is a heap of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Do schedule some time to stop by Kellers Bay close to Shaw Pond if you have a chance; lakes are such serene sites, why not take a look at Park Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the area in the neighborhood of Shaw Pond has to offer. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Big Brook; why not take a refreshing hike along

| | the Sucker Brook Trail. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rock River, and if you need a site to stay Woodlake Inn is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Raquette River in a kayak. the duration of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Shaw Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The Northville Lake Placid Trail
offers hiking at its best, and there are other places here than Shaw Pond, for example Long Lake Reservoir. Shaw Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains
the most, and the driest of the months is February. There's so much to do here at Shaw Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Whispering woods is a brilliant site for that, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Big Marsh is
right close by. This lake is so wonderful. At Shaw Pond you can spot East Inlet Mountain. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Shaw Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hoss's Country Campground.

 | Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over.
