Shaw Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. This place, Shaw Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors cool stuff. What would winter be without some skiing at Thunder Ridge, and camping is available at Long Pond Lake Family Campgrounds. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Northrop Trail, and Ten Mile River is a great whitewater spot close by.

| | can always go whitewater paddling on Roeliff Jansen Kill River, and if you came for an overnight stay Interlake Farm Campground is a splendid location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Shaw Pond; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a great local trail, and take a look at close by Tamarack Swamp.
