Shallow Lake is a wet site that gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and       February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Shallow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a tremendous place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into                  a kayak and hit Indian River, and the Norridge Trail offers hiking at its best. You just have to go for the Adirondack Mountains. Shallow Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Tioga Point State Campground is a nice local campground; after a long day outdoors Knights Inn Little Falls is a great spot to spend a night or two. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Drift down the rapids of Moose River - South Branch in a kayak, and if you're a golfer then a delightful close by course is Inlet Golf Club. Summertime highs at Shallow Lake usually tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's.
