Finger Lakes is a nice lake close to Seneca Lake, and don't leave Seneca Lake without first going for a hike along the Ravine Trail. Sunset-on-seneca Campsites is a great campground nearby; why not a little side journey to Mill Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Taughannock Creek is a great whitewater spot next to Seneca Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Interloken Trail. You'll meet a lot of people from Seneca Falls here; a great nearby hotel is Long House

You can run the rapids of Keuka Outlet in the neighborhood of Seneca Lake, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop by Van Cleef Lake. along the Potomac Trail. A common amount of rain falls here at Seneca Lake; most of the rain falls throughout June, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Eagle Ridge Campground, and if you need a place to stay Longhouse Lodge Motel is a delightful choice.
