Get drenched paddling on Thirteenth Brook; why not take a little tour to Halfway Brook while you're here. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Dry warm beds await you at Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel, and if you came to camp Camp Dippikill Office is a glorious location to do that. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more cool       stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Not far from Second Pond, you'll stumble on Botheration Pond which is a stunning lake, and on a wonderful day you obtain a great sight of Balm of Gilead Mountain from Second Pond. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Second Pond is right by the Oregon Trail, and Second Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Smoke Rise Campsites                  is a wonderful local campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. For the duration of the summertime here at Second Pond, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Second Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Mud Pond, and soar down the rapids of Balm of Gilead Brook in a kayak. The annual precipitation here at Second Pond is about average; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture.
