New York has many beautiful lakes and Second Pond is one of them. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Mill Pond is one of those close by; the Williams Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Poesten Kill River is so much fun. If you need a place to stay Jericho Valley Inn is a magnificent choice, and there's splendid hiking along the Taconic Crest Trail. | | offer, you can camp at Broken Wheel Campground, and Jiminy Peak is a brilliant place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Second Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Aqua Vista Valley Campgrounds is a fine place for that, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Jiminy Peak since you're here. Mountain; whitewater paddling is delightful on Hoosic River. For the period of the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Second Pond. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs through
the winter are ordinarily in the 30's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Second Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Southeast Hollow Trail; obviously, this is a tremendous
region for people who like lakes, Long Pond is a lake nearby. From a precipitation point of view Second Pond is a rather common site; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February.
