Man, is there a heap of cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Ausable River - West Branch; the McKenzie Pond Trail offers hiking at its best. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Scott Pond. If you need a place to stay Prague Inn Stes and                  Cottages is a glorious choice, and unsurprisingly, A journey to Indian Pass is always fun. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Boreas River - Upper, and there's splendid hiking along the Van Hoevenberg Trail. Do have a look at Wallface Ponds next to Scott Pond, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. MacNaughton Mountain is gorgeous and can be observed from Scott Pond, and you'll discover a charming lake called Lost Pond. If you came to camp Whispering Pines Campground is a great site to do that, and everyone close by loves skiing at Whiteface Mountain. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 70's at Scott Pond. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's.
