You'll need more than a day to explore everything Scott Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds; a tremendous vista of gorgeous Hebron Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. West Branch Black Creek is near Scott Lake and is always a pleasure to check out, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Bennington is a perfect       spot to spend a night or two. This place, Scott Lake, it truly has so much outdoors exciting stuff. A day on the slopes of West Mountain is just what you need; Barkley Pond is a pleasant lake nearby. There's so much to do here at Scott Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a good site for that, and if you come at the right time of year, Mettawee River offers some nice whitewater. A striking lake like McDougall                  Lake near Scott Lake is a pleasant place to go to, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Batten Kill River. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Healing Springs Nature Trail, and why not head up to Willard Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Scott Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; most of the rain falls during August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Scott Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's.
