Hiking is a popular thing to do around Schoolhouse Lake; West Ridge Trail is a brilliant local trail, and if you get bored of Schoolhouse Lake you could also visit close by Lake Lauderdale. This lake is so wonderful. Dead Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and you can run the rapids of Batten Kill River. This place, Schoolhouse Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Don't leave Schoolhouse       Lake without first going for a hike along the Healing Springs Nature Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western New Englander Motor Inn. Schoolhouse Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Good hiking is available along the Bald Mountain Trail, and Battenkill River is a great whitewater spot close by. Really great skiing awaits you at West Mountain.                  You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Willard Mountain; after a long day outdoors Alexandra B and B is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a glorious local campground; this is a popular place for people from Bennington. The view of Mount Colfax from Schoolhouse Lake is wonderful; why not camp at Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds if you're here at Schoolhouse Lake. The warmest time of the year at Schoolhouse Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
