If you love the outdoors, you'll like Schofield Pond. The top of Bald Pate is easily made out from Schofield Pond; the Peaked Hill Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. Camping       at Paradise Pines Camping Resort is always a pleasant experience, and going for a hike on the Short Swing Trail is always a pleasant adventure. If you come at the right time of year, Putnam Creek offers some good whitewater, and a gorgeous lake like Snake Pond is a magnificent spot to have a look at. All through the warm months, highs usually are in the 70's at Schofield Pond. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's.
