It's always fun to stop by Saugerties Reservoir. Having a wonderful time in the Catskill Mountains is trouble-free. Dry warm beds await you at Saugerties Howard Johnson Inn, and lots of people from Kingston come here. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Hunter Mountain close at hand; Rip Van Winkle Country Club is a delightful golf course nearby. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Catskill Mountains has to offer. Near

| | Saugerties Reservoir you find the Phoenicia Trail which is a good hiking trail, and a perfect place to camp here at Saugerties Reservoir is Rip Van winkle Campgrounds. The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There is a good hiking trail near Saugerties Reservoir called the Spruceton Trail, and not far from Saugerties Reservoir you'll discover North Lake which is a beautiful lake. Reservoir. The Willow Trail is a wonderful hiking trail next to Saugerties Reservoir, and camping is available at Saugerties/Woodstock KOA. Saugerties Reservoir gets a typical amount of rain; May is the month that gets the most
rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Saugerties Reservoir, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's;
night lows during the winter for Saugerties Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. A quick visit to Lucas Kill near Saugerties Reservoir is a wonderful idea, and get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Beaver Kill River.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Plattekill Creek, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Saugerties is a glorious choice. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Windham Mountain.
