The Cannonball Trail offers hiking at its best, and there are other places here than Sandy Beach Lake, for example Little Cedar Pond. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Sandy Beach Lake; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest of the months       is February. High temperatures at Sandy Beach Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sandy Beach Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. Camping is available at Motor Sports Marina and Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Sheraton Mahwah Hotel. Why not camp at Baker Camp On Lake Sebago while you're here at Sandy                  Beach Lake, and why not head up to Sterling Forest and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Gateway National Recreation Area is one of the destinations close to Sandy Beach Lake that are delightful to go to, and there's whitewater on Ramapo River for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. An out of the ordinary thing to stop by close to Sandy Beach Lake is Ringwood Mill Dam; if you need a place to stay Courtyard Mahwah is a great choice. Just can't get enough of Sandy Beach Lake. Sandy Beach Lake is right by the Kakiat Trail, and swamps like McKeags Meadow are fun to take a look at.
