This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Sand Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Roscoe Campsites is a brilliant place for that, and don't leave Sand Pond without first going for a hike along the Schiff Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sand Pond has to offer, you can camp       at Camp Shomria, and float down the rapids of Beaver Kill River in a kayak. Holiday Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff, and if you need a location to stay Howard Johnson Inn Liberty NY is a great choice. This place, Sand Pond, it just has so much outdoors cool stuff. This is a glorious neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Shandelee Lake is a lake close at hand; if you come at the right time of year, Callicoon Creek - North Branch offers some                  pleasant whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably keen on lakes, Carlson Pond is one of those close by, and golf can be played at Twin Village Golf Club.
