Sand Pond is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Camp Tel Yehuda is a delightful place to camp nearby; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Mongaup River. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Delaware National Scenic River is recommended, as expected you could also have a look at Lake DeVenoge since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. There are good locations to discover along the Peenpack Trail, and Kittatinny Campgrounds

If you need a place to stay RPAMI - Red Carpet Inn Milford is a good choice; you can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Holiday Mountain. Sand Pond is a good place of common rain; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is February. Scottish Inns Milford is a fine location to get some rest, and get covered with water paddling on Delaware River. | |

Going for a hike on the Schiff Trail is always a splendid adventure; splendid skiing awaits you at Tanglwood. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Sand Pond with night lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's
while the cold winter nights at Sand Pond are in the 10's. Near Sand Pond you hit upon the Lost Cabin Trail which is a nice hiking trail; probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Highland Lake is just a very short distance away.
