There's whitewater on Independence River for all you adrenaline junkies. There's so much to do here at Sand Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Moose River Camp Grounds is a nice place for that. If you came to camp Cold Brook Campsites is a nice site to do that, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Otter Creek. This is no place for people       who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Parsons Pond near Sand Pond; playing golf is lots of fun at Brantingham Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Snow Ridge is a fine local ski area; why not check out nearby Beaver Meadow Creek if you're here at Sand Pond. An average amount of rainfall falls at Sand Pond; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is generally the driest month. The                  warmest time of the year at Sand Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's.
