If you came for an overnight stay Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Paradise Pines is a wonderful location to camp, and a magnificent view of scenic Bailey Hill is available. Take a hike on the Dividing Ridge Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Shearer's Riverside Campsite is a splendid local campground, and if you've had enough of Sand Pond, Wolf Pond is nearby. If       you need a place to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a fine choice, and get covered with water paddling on Boreas River - Upper. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Gore Mountain, and Sand Pond is right by the Elk Lake Marcy Trail. An average amount of rain falls at Sand Pond; most of the rain falls during August, and February is the month with the least moisture. Sand Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is                  so wonderful. Hiking along the Shorey Short Cut is tremendous fun, and Jones Beach is a beach nearby that you can take a look at. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. Very pretty scenery and brilliant skiing is what you get at Whiteface Mountain, and get yourself into a kayak and hit The Branch. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Sand Pond reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Sand Pond are in the 0's. This place, Sand Pond, it completely has so much outdoors exciting stuff.
