A typical amount of rain falls here at Saint John Lake; August is when you get the most rain here while February is generally the driest month. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Adirondack Mountains. Get covered with water paddling on Stony Creek. All the outdoors fun things near Saint John Lake will keep you coming back time and again. A quick tour       to Halfway Brook in close proximity to Saint John Lake is a delightful idea; Black Mt Ski Lodge & Motel is a great place to get some rest. Take a hike on the Oregon Trail; why not camp at Sacandaga Campground if you're here at Saint John Lake. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Thousand Acres Golf Club; after a long day outdoors Northwind Lodge is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. There's no way anybody can get bored here                  in the Adirondack Mountains. A day on the slopes of Gore Mountain is just what you need, and camping at Saint John Lake is splendid fun, Fort Bink Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Through the summer here at Saint John Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit colder of course, usually in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 20's; night lows at Saint John Lake throughout the winter generally plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
