There's some flowing water nearby, Felts Mills Creek is a stream you can take a look at during your stay, and camping at Saint James Lake is brilliant fun, Kelly's Travel Trailer Park is a brilliant local campground. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Carriage House Inn is a fine choice; if you came for an overnight stay Ripplewood Campground is a wonderful place to camp. High temperatures at Saint James       Lake all through the summer months are in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Saint James Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Dry Hill, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Black Creek. A great nearby hotel is Watertown Travelodge,                  and there's whitewater on Black River for all you adrenaline kick people. This place is excellent, just look at all the entertaining things to do near Saint James Lake. At Saint James Lake you always meet someone from Watertown-Fort Drum.
