is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. A good vista of lovely California Hill is available from
Sagamore Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby John Pond. High temperatures at Sagamore Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge
down into the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Sagamore Lake. This lake is so wonderful. People from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown love to come to Sagamore Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Popolopen Creek.
