Many people like to go to Round Pond. Round Pond is a fine location to camp, Broken Wheel Campground is a fine location; a tremendous forest close by is Capital District Forest And Game Refuge. The amount of rain that falls at Round Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is July while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Round Pond is not far at all from Pittsfield.

| | snow is great at Jiminy Peak, and do take a hike on the Southeast Hollow Trail. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Spring Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and going for a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Round Pond drop into the 10's.
A day on the slopes of Mount Greylock Ski Club is just what you need, and dry warm beds await you at Jericho Valley
Inn. Jiminy Peak is a nice spot to get some rest; hiking along the Taconic Skyline Trail is tremendous fun. A great place for whitewater paddling near Round Pond is Poesten Kill River, and camping at Round Pond is good fun, Alps Family Campground is a good local campground.
