Hit the slopes at Mt. Peter in the neighborhood, and don't leave Round Pond without first going for a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail. All through the summertime here at Round Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 70's while night lows are typically in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Round Pond plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.       Beaver Pond is a nice campground nearby, and enjoy a round of golf at Central Valley Golf Club. There's fine hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a great choice. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Round Pond. Since you're here at Round Pond why not take a look at Deep Hollow; whitewater paddling is nice on Popolopen Creek. Sterling                  Forest has great slopes and a friendly staff, and the Woodtown Trail offers hiking at its best. Round Pond is not the only place nearby, Long Pond is a nearby lake, and you can stay the night at Sebago Cabins Harriman. This lake is so wonderful. Long Pond Brook flows through this vicinity, and get dripping wet paddling on Moodna Creek. Just can't get enough of Round Pond. A lake close by is Jims Pond. Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a magnificent location to get some rest, and the top of Black Rock is easily spotted from Round Pond.
