Going for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Sunset Inn is a splendid choice. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable things just keep reading. Round Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Natural Bridge K O A Camp Ground is a fine local campground, and a tremendous swamp close to Round Pond is       Bear Swamp. A great panorama of picturesque Bald Mountain is available from Round Pond, and there's whitewater on Beaver River for all you thrill seekers. This is a delightful vicinity for folks who like lakes. Deer Pond is a lake in the neighborhood, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at McCauley Mountain if you're here. Camping at Moose River Camp Grounds is always a good experience; close by you discover the Post Henderson Trail                  which is a splendid hiking trail. Round Pond is a good site of normal rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Desert Creek is close to Round Pond and is always a delight to take a look at; there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Summer at Round Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
