Mohawk Mountain has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and at Round Pond you always meet someone from Torrington. Dry warm beds await you at The Cottages At Kent Road; not far from Round Pond you'll locate Indian Lake which is a wonderful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Round Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Taconic State Park Rudd Pond       is a nice local campground, and don't leave Round Pond without first going for a hike along the Indian Trail. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. A golf course in the neighborhood of Round Pond is Silo Ridge Country Club; paddling on Ten Mile River is so much fun. For the duration of the summertime months here at Round Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down                  to the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Round Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Sharon Motor Lodge is a wonderful place to get some rest, and you can hit the slopes at Catamount in the vicinity. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do in the vicinity of Round Pond. A perfect site to camp here at Round Pond is Camp Pontiac; going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a delightful adventure. Glide down the rapids of Housatonic River in a kayak, and you can go for a hike on the Northrop Trail. Lakes? Sure, Indian Lake is around here, and time spent at Mudge Pond Town Beach is always great.
