Round Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; September is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Graves Vly is right close by. Lakes are delightful; Ronna Pond is a       lake that's in the neighborhood of Round Lake. Get soaked paddling on Roaring Branch, and skiing at Hickory Ski Center is one of those things you just should do. A brilliant close by hotel is Gideon Putnam Resort And Spa, and if you're a golfer then a pleasant close by course is Galway Golf Course. Be careful coming to Round Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. After a long day outdoors Hilton Garden Inn Saratoga Springs is a great spot                  to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Oregon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Pop's Lake Campground is a good spot to do that; why not take a little trip to Black Creek if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Sacandaga River. Through the warm days of summer at Round Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's.
