Round Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. A round of golf at nearby Van Patten Golf Course is a wonderful way to kill some time, and a striking lake like Black Pond is a fine place to explore. Paddling on Mohawk River is so much fun. You'll need more than a day       to look at everything Round Lake has to offer, you can camp at Adirondack Adventure Resorts. At Round Lake all through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Round Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Clifton Park, and Round Lake is a splendid site to visit                  for more than one day, Fish Creek Marina and Camp Grounds is a splendid site to camp nearby. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do right next door to Round Lake. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby West Mountain, and Round Lake is a location with many visitors from Albany-Schenectady-Troy.
