New York has many beautiful lakes and Round Lake is one of them. This is a popular place for people from Utica-Rome, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Forty Mountain Trail. During the warm months highs here at Round Lake get into the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Round Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. The amount

This lake is so wonderful. Deer Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Sunset Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. Round Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kayuta Lake Campground, and the snow is brilliant at McCauley Mountain. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
And that's not all you can do here at Round Lake. Head up to
Woods Valley and strap some skis to your feet, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moose River. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more entertaining things
to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Lake; Stone Dam Trail is a magnificent local trail, and a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Woodhull Creek. Take a hike on the Twin Lakes
Trail. There's so much to do here at Round Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Moose River Camp Grounds is a great place for that.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Utica.
