This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn JOHNSTOWN-GLOVERSVILLE. Ross Lake is right by the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and one of the principal traits of the surroundings of Ross Lake is North Branch Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is       always a brilliant experience, and a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Sacandaga River - West Branch. Ross Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Piseco Outlet is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Ross Lake, and if you get bored of Ross Lake you could also take a look at close by Loomis Pond. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. Super 8 Johnstown/Gloversville is a great location to get                  some rest; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Gloversville. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Ross Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Ross Lake sink into the 0's. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining things. If you're here at Ross Lake, you could stop by North Branch West Branch Sacandaga River, and Ross Lake is not the only spot nearby, Brown Lake is a nearby lake. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll like Ross Lake.
