This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Rondout Creek in the vicinity of Rondout Reservoir; a great close by hotel is Nevele Grande Resort. Shawangunk Country Club is a glorious golf course close by, and Merriman Dam has nice water scenery. A nice place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Rondout Reservoir is Beer Kill River - West Branch. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Rondout Reservoir       has to offer, you can camp at Skyway Camping Resort. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Cedar Swamp is right close by, and while you're here, you could take a look at Brandy Brook. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Kanape Jeep Trail.
